Level 3 03:44
I smell smoke and that ain’t good Hot & dry & dusty woods Lightning pounding on that ridge The roads are closed beyond the bridge Diggin’ line and layin’ hose Where it ends? Nobody knows. Dropping buckets from the sky Spittin’ in the dragon’s eye [CHORUS] Level 3, Level 3, Take me up to Level 3 Burn me up, Smoke me out Shut me down, Leave no doubt Torch the sky and Set me free Take me up to level 3 Fortunes fall and Fortunes rise Life is full of big surprises One day riches, one day fame The next day it goes up in flames I run fast but you run faster Can’t outrun this red disaster Waking up to hot dry flashes Burn us up and kick our ashes [CHORUS] Level 3, Level 3, Wait for me on Level 3 Level 3, Level 3, Meet me up on Level 3 Level 3, Level 3, (Babe) You & Me & Level 3 Level 4, Level 5, Level 6, Level 3

None of my cubes are perfect None of my lines are straight My curves, they have no purpose My thoughts, they have no shape All my threads are tangled The ends are left to fate None of my cubes are perfect None of my lines are straight All the people in this world Who might have noticed (all those people) All the parts I’ve left unrendered, incompleted, never ended Blocks in piles, blocks impaled, Blocks impounded, never rounded. All those blocks that serve untethered, serve loose-ended, nerves unsevered. All those people All those people

Until I came here in the night Tall trees waving Until I saw what had been missing Bones beneath the outer world All was safe All was right Before I came here Until I watched my life unfold Tall dream fading Until I craved what others crave Pleading for such meager praise All obtain All obscure Before I came here Until I broke my thousandth verb Deep seam churning Until I gave up right and wrong Crushed between such sad intent All absorb All abide Before I came here Until I came here in the night Tall trees waving Until I craved what others crave Tall dream fading

Standing tall, flurry heart Beady eye, puffy cheek Stripes of blond, take the bait Chirping brave, shallow grave I’m at war but I am weak Banner wave, marching beat Banner fall, tiny shriek Digging deep, no retreat There are raisins, there are raisins There are raisins in my dream There are raisins, there are raisins ...

Judge Me 04:17
Once there was a time When everything was fresh Everything was new Once there was a time When anything I wanted I would simply do Once there was a time When everything was new Once there was a place Where everyone was kind Everyone was safe Once there was a place Where everyone was happy Everyone had space Once there was a place Where everyone was safe Little is known Of the trail ahead The story of conquest The hammering silence The wild disappointment and The beautiful listening Little is known (And) little is said Everybody watching Safely from the shadow(s) I attempt the rescue Everybody hoping Sorting through the salvage Veiled in compassion Everyone guarding (But) no tries to help Once there was a time Everything was fresh Everything was new Anything you want You would simply do Once there was a place Everyone was kind Everyone was safe Please judge me Please choose me Please hold me

Plan ahead but no remorse Don’t expect to find some sort Of secret sparkling answer Buried just beyond your reach Kiss your lover in the dark Count your friends and count the stars That spread behind you like a Magic carpet in the breeze Na-na-na-na-na-na When you’re gone All the feelings, all the words Floating on the surface Like a flock of angry artists With their brushes and their clay Hopefully there’s hope to spare You might find that you don’t care As much about tomorrow As you do about today Na-na-na-na-na-na When you’re gone Na-na-na-na-na-na ...

Lead Me On 03:00
My eyes are open (and) I’m begging you to Lead me on Lead me on Lead me on Act like I know almost nothing Just as if I just arrived Spur me on to hectic action Launch me into frenzied passion Rouse a thousand dormant notions Quench me with beguiling potions Neutralize my futile scruples Feed a thousand needs My eyes are open (and) I’m begging you to Lead me on Lead me on Lead me on

Beating to a western mind. Buried. Not a moment too soon. Not a moment too soon. Beating to a western mind. We’re buried. And not a moment too soon. Not a moment too soon. No difference rearing up. No difference attack in rage. No difference. No difference. No difference frozen creed. No difference false conceit. No difference. No difference double mission. No difference saved by grief. No difference. No difference. No difference deck hand dies. No difference drown in shame. No difference. Bring to us the formula. Tell us things we’ll never know. Bring us all the secrets. All the things we’ll forget. Poison tablet, self-involve, tumble forward, coral flesh. Glowing charcoal edifice. All the things that we’ll forget. Charm before the arrow. Pierced beyond deceit. Mind-high resolution. Merely modern disbelief. Bring to us the formula. Tell us things we’ll never know. Bring us all the secrets. All the things we’ll forget. Bring to us the formula.

about

“Does it tell a story? Because I feel like it might.”

A highly credible and largely coherent funky progrock excursion that wanders the line between soothing reassurance and challenging regret. Absorbing vocals, creative song structure, distinctive elements of indie fusion, compelling down-temp grooves. There’s a consistent thread of angst and apprehension balanced against hope and renewal, all vaguely predicated on the tension between individual independence and the desire to be accepted. But don’t let that get in your way – these quirky heartfelt songs provide an interesting diversion from your previously chosen path.

Until I watched my life unfold
Tall dream fading
Until I craved what others crave
Pleading for such meager praise
All obtain
All obscure
Before I came here
