Whisper that I need you Breath in all your threat Skirting all your hurdles Sidestep all the tales Bypass all the peril and dread Yes, I still need you And, yes, I always will Sweet demur deferral Dropping all the pretense Dropping off the edge into thrill

red bird, grey sky trouble up and down the line braided grove, twisted wood stories intertwine hillside weeping water torn from shallow sand slumbering abundance lax and underplanned pensive nightfall thin blanket laid to rest blind terraced innocence cool and unexpressed muddled cliff top daring and unrefined artfully abstracted forever misaligned red bird, grey sky when I walk between these walls when I rest beside this cave when I climb beyond those falls nothing will remain behind for someone else to find (and) maybe shed a tear

about

The “Gardens Of Tone” album was written and recorded in the small town of Bilpin, New South Wales, Australia. Bilpin is situated in the Greater Blue Mountains UNESCO World Heritage Area, an amazing landscape of unique flora, fauna, and land formations. All songs on this album are inspired by and, in some cases, directly about this dramatic landscape and the people I met there.

Reflective wistful downtempo rock fusion; laced with dreamy synths, jazz-influenced keyboards, and ethereal vocals; all overlaid onto deliberately strong but offbeat bass & drum rhythm signatures. They feel like little journeys.

Written & Recorded in Bilpin, Australia
Mastered & Produced in Seattle, USA

Special Thanks: I am very grateful to the Bilpin International Ground for Creative Initiatives (BigCi) for hosting me in Australia and providing studio space, support, and fellowship on this inspirational and fulfilling artist residency.

Benefit: All 2018 proceeds from this album will be donated to the protection and enhancement of Gardens Of Stone National Park (Australia).
