I started this song the first day I arrived in Siglufjörður, Iceland. I felt a strong and wonderful sense of desire and wanting. And it occurred to me that everyone (and maybe everything) feels this. And, further, that these longings and cravings are the impulses that push and pull us onwards. Passion can be unsettling and unpredictable, which is reflected in song’s very unusual timings (15/8, 13/4, 7/4).
