about

Ill-advised late-night verbal composition inspired by Peter Bergman’s lexiconagraphical madness…

(Peter Bergman was a founding member of Firesign Theatre, 1939-2012)

lyrics

You’re heading strouth --
Past the cloning rock, where many have cried
Under the State Contention Center
Past the Radiums
Next to Proton Field where the planes meet at right angles and practically land on your head
With Mt. Brassiere thrusting skyward, protected by her soft inverted cloud cap of doom that says
“Yes, I’m here” but “No, you can’t have me”
Holding your Café Esperanto in one hand
Tuning VOX knobs with the other ~

When it all goes down --
Double-demi hippo roll
Soft hot metal sherbet
Nuclear celtic spores majestically swirling & swerving
You catch Big Hair
Larfing Larfing
Fractose incontinent
With your soiled soggy childhood wafting like hot buttered gloat crusters
Leaving this place, this time
Leaving this whole waxy world smoking like a bile lozenge in disguise
Like the low bid on a used composite
Benchmarked against a future conflict that heaves her shapely torso for all eternity

But that’s for next time --
Next year, next fear, next roll
No past, no first, no last,
Non-stop for-clever-bound glory
Dispensing all infirmalities

Can someone please freshen my feet?
