Believe it or not, this is a love song between two battle worn partners. The song started out with many verses telling an epic love story spanning centuries. But like ancient lands and legends exposed to the relentless forces of nature and neglect, I chipped away the details and wore down the core until all that remains is vague and indistinct imagery. Ultimately, the desire for silence is all that is left; but alas life gets louder and solitude is elusive. (Inspired by Icelandic Sagas.)
