This song started out as a short instrumental bumper for Kraken Fancast, an engaging podcast covering the new NHL Seattle Kraken hockey team. I kept the title “Lurking Threat” and the ominous sea theme but redirected the lyrics to capture the challenge and personal risk entailed by working towards an elusive possibly unachievable goal. Success demands discipline, practice, and a willingness to push past cautionary warnings. Ultimately, this level of effort is a solitary endeavor with times of self doubt and deep lonely uncertainty.
